First Period Worcester lobed circular plate painted in underglaze blue with the Rubber Tree Plant pattern, c.1775. With decorative branches and pseudo Chinese marks to the reverse as is specific to this pattern.
Referenced in Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 1751-1790, Branyan, French & Sandon, section I.E.47, classed as "uncommon".
It measures 18.5cm (7 1/4") wide 3.5cm (1 3/8") high.
Condition is excellent: there is a very small chip to the footrim but otherwise no damage or restoration and surface wear is very light. A very nice example.
