A good Worcester porcelain ovoid tea canister with vertical fluting and painted in the gilliflower pattern, c.1770. W mark to the base. It comes with its original porcelain cover but this has been extensively repaired, details below.
It measures 13cm (5 1/8") high (16.5cm (6 1/2") including the cover) and 8cm (3 1/8") wide.
The canister is in excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. The cover has been repaired and had some rather crude, unfinished restoration.
