A pretty Worcester white glazed coffee cup with a very finely moulded low relief pattern of Chinese style flowers and twining branches known as the Chrysanthemum pattern, c.1765. Flared shape with grooved strap handle. These are usually over decorated with polychrome flowers or have additional under-glaze blue patterned borders but this one unusually remain unembellished so the beauty and fine detail of the moulding can be fully appreciated.
It measures 5.5cm (2 1/4") high, 6.8cm (2 11/16") rim to rim and 9cm (3 1/2") rim to handle.
Condition is very good; there is a small nick to the inside of the footrim. No other damage or restoration and minimal surface wear.
