Beautiful fine late 19th century Meissen figure of a young shepherdess girl playing a flute with her lamb lying at her feet. Fully marked to the base and with an incised artist mark. Superbly painted with florals to her clothes, standing on a scrolled, gilded base with naturalistic painted setting and a small tree with bocage.
She measures 24cm high by approx. 12cm wide.
Condition is excellent: there is a tiny hairline/fine repair across the lamb's front right foot, a small loss to the bottom tip of the flute and a few usual chips to the leaves.
