Lovely pair of Derby figures of The Welch Tailor & Family after the Meissen originals. Both marked model number 62, they have slightly varying bases underneath so may be a few years apart but both c.1800-1820 and there no other differences in model shape otherwise. They have lovely detail from the little children and kids in the baskets to the panniers and tailors tools and both painted in vibrant enamels.

They measure approx. 15cm (6") high, 10cm (4") long and 7.5cm (3") wide.

Condition is very good with just a couple of minor points to note: there has been a professional and invisible repair to his right leg to a clean break. A few small areas of restoration where you might expect, all incredibly well done: the handles to the pannier baskets, the tip of the wife's left foot, the horns of the tailor's goat and the tip of his raised baton. Surface condition is very good with just light wear.
