A sweet late 19th century Dresden porcelain monkey band figure of a bagpipe player. Finely painted; dressed in a pink jacket with lilac breaches and patterned waistcoat wearing a black tricorn hat edged in gilt. Underglaze blue crossed swords marks to base and incised numerals.
He measures 13cm (5 1/8") high and 5.5cm (2 1/8") wide.
Condition: he is missing his left hand at the wrist and the bottom of his pipe. A little wear to the gilt on his hat.
