Nice Bloor period Derby figure of Spring from the French Seasons, c.1830, originally modelled by Pierre Stephan but remodelled on round bases, c.1790 possibly by William Coffee. Bold and bright enamels of predominantly gold, yellow and mazarine blue with the usual finely detailed decoration to his clothing. He holds a small garland of flowers with a water bottle and a napsack over hid shoulders.
ncised N123 to the base and painted Bloor mark.
It measures 17cm (6 3/4) high and 6.5cm (2 1/2") across the base.
Condition is very good with a couple of points to note. He has had a very neat repair at his left wrist and some excellent, near invisible, restoration at his neck, please see the close up photo which shows these areas closely. A tiny area of the rim at the back of his hat has also been invisibly touched up. No damage or chips and very light surface wear.
