A large 18th Century Derby Porcelain figure of the French Shepherdess, modelled as a young girl standing barefoot on a naturalistic base and holding a lamb in her arms. Decorated sparsely in enamels gilding. Patch marks to the base, c.1775.
Reference: Derby Porcelain, Twitchett, plate 113.
She measures 22.3cm (8 3/4") high and 12cm (4 3/4") wide by 9cm (3 1/2") deep.
In very good condition: an invisible repair to the lamb's neck and very good restoration to the ears. No other issues, damage, repairs or restoration bar some very minor usual chipping to some of the leaves and petals on the base and minimal handling wear.
