Pretty South Staffordshire oval enamel patch box with domed lid decorated with a purple gingham ground and decorated to the lid and sides with painted enamel floral sprays in raised relief. The base is undecorated. Inside the lid is the original steel mirror.
It measures 5.2cm (2") wide, 4.2cm (1 1/8") deep and 2.5cm (1") high.
Condition is very good with a small amount of restoration above the front catch. Otherwise no damage or cracking bar the usual few faint hairlines in the enamel inside the base. The mirror is heavily corroded.
