A fine late Victorian silver trefoil shape serving dish for sweetmeats or nuts etc. with scallop shell formed bowls and a curved reeded handle with bun finial. Hallmarked for Sheffield 1900, maker George Howson (Harrison Brothers & Howson). These dishes are almost always plated so a sterling silver example is a rare and special piece.

It measures 23.5cm (9 1/4") by 24.5cm (9 5/8") wide and 10cm (4") high. It weighs 455g / 14.6ozt.

In very good condition with no damage, dents or repairs. Minor surface marks and the hallmarks are clear bar very partial obscurity of the maker initials.
