Fabulous large late 17th/early 18th century Dutch delft charger smothered in deep blue floral and foliage decoration on a pale blue ground with a chrysanthemum at the centre and half suns around the edge. A quite deep, dish form, could be used as a bowl, but has a piercing through the foot rim for wall mounting.
t has a maker mark S on the back.
It measures 14" wide and 2" deep.
Condition is excellent with only glaze frits around the edge, no body chips. There is a firing crack around part of one side formed in manufacture.
