Charming mid/late 19th century French faience tobacco jar/humidor modelled as a standing poodle. Pale blue ground with shades of blue swirls to represent his fur, he wears a blue collar with tag. The face is very nicely painted as are his paws. The lid as his head sits on the shoulders with a deep flange to the jar.
Marked to the base with an interlinked L and C I believe and the number 907.
He measures 27cm high, and 14cm wide and deep.
Condition is very good; there is a small glaze chip to his collar at the rim, see final photo but no other damage or restoration and very light surface wear.
