A nice Scottish silver decanter label, appropriately engraved for "Whisky", on simple form with canted corners and raised pierced discs to hold the chain. Maker's mark only for John Ziegler, and Edinburgh silversmith operating with this mark, c.1800-1809.
It measures 4.2cm (1 5/8") wide by 2.2cm (15/16") high to the top of the discs.
In very good condition with no damage or repair and minor handling wear.
