Code: FA0850
An attractive George III silver wine funnel stand with kicked up centre with stepped sides leading to a decorative reeded rim. Hallmarked for London 1799, maker John Emes.
It measures 10.2cm (4") wide and 1cm (3/8") high and weighs 66g / 2.1ozt. The inner steps mean it will accommodate funnels of 7.5cm and 8.5cm diameter.
Condition is very good: there is a small section on the underside to the layer below the rim that has been cut away which looks deliberate. No damage or repairs and light surface wear.
