A stylish George III 2 part silver wine funnel with attractive decoration of reeded bands around the rim of the cup, and top of the funnel part. A further reeded band runs a little further down with 3 raised straps overlapping around the piece.
Hallmarked for London 1803, maker John Emes.
It measures 13.5cm (5 3/8") long and 7cm (2 3/4") wide and weighs 80g/2.6ozt.
Condition is very good with appropriate surface wear for age and use. There is a very small solder repair to the lower section beside one of the ribs and the seam at the top of this section may have been re-done as it is a bit messy inside.
