Pretty Spode porcelain bute shape tea cup and saucer with a delicate print pattern in grey enamel of bold floral sprays surrounded by smaller sprigs and with gilded rims and handle detail. Unmarked c.1805. Slightly later pieces can be found with this pattern, then over-painted in green enamel, with the pattern number 1676.
The saucer measures 13.7cm (5 3/8") wide and 2.8cm (1 1/8") high. The cup measures 8.1cm (3 3/16") rim to rim, 10.1cm (4") rim to handle and 5.8cm (2 5/16") high.
Condition is very good with no damage or restoration, both pieces ring nicely. Very light surface wear, just a few very minor scratches to the saucer. Perfect and ready for use or display.
