Very nice late 18th century tea bowl and saucer by New Hall in "the boy and butterfly" pattern, number 421, c.1795.
The bowl has a decorator's mark. Reference New Hall & Its Imitators by Holgate, plate 101.
The tea bowl measures 5cm (2") high and 8.5cm (3 3/8") wide. The saucer measures 14cm (5 1/2") wide and 2.8cm (1 1/8") high.
Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration. Very light surface wear; there is a small firing fault to the blue robe on the saucer.
