Code: FA1010

SOLD

A pretty New Hall porcelain tea bowl and saucer, unmarked but painted in pattern number 415, with grey feathery swags alternating with swags with yellow and green leaves with small red dotted flowers. Blue rims and blue dots in between all the criss-crossing swags.

Reference: New Hall by David Holgate, plate 220.

The saucer measures 12.6cm (4 15/16") wide and 3.2cm (1 1/4") high. The tea bowl measures 8.3cm (3 1/4") wide and 5.2cm (2 1/16").

Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. There are two underglaze minor nicks inside the foot rim of the saucer caused during manufacture and a couple of fine firing stress lines in the middle of the saucer. Light surface wear, a few scratches to the saucer from the cup foot rim, and only very minor wear to the enamel on the rims.
