Dimensions:
Nice early 19th century coffee can by the Liverpool Herculaneum manufactory, c.1810, with a finely painted central reserve of a landscape scene with some travellers pausing for rest at a bridge over a stream, probably by Samuel Williams. Wide gilded rim and handle (type 1 shape).
It measures 6.7cm (2 5/8") high, 6.7cm (2 5/8") rim to rim and 9cm (3 1/2") rim to handle.
Condition is very good but there is a hairline across the bottom of the handle. Surface wear is very light, just slight wear to the top of the rim. The enamel painting is excellent.
