Striking Derby coffee can, straight sided, with a rounded loop handle with inner spur. Decorated with a bold patterned band of yellow roses beautifully painted in white lozenges formed between red painted triangular panels with rows of wavy gilded stripes and framed with wide gold borders. Gilded rim and handle.
Marked to the base with either a red or puce mark (it is quite faint so difficult to tell) and pattern number 591.
It measures 6cm (2 3/8") high, 8.5cm (3 3/8") rim to handle and 6cm (2 3/8") rim to rim.
Condition is good with no damage or restoration. There has been some wear to the gilding, predominantly to the band at the rim and that running near the base. The red triangle and yellow rose main band shows minimal sign of wear.
