New Hall Regency Porcelain Old English Tea Cup & Saucer Pattern 3075

An English porcelain teacup and saucer in the Old English shape with fluted walls and shaped rim and sharply pointed concave top handle. Very finely decorated with a warm yellow ground forming a framework housing six segment shaped reserves edged with underglaze blue and painted with a variety of garden flowers in bright enamels set against a washed background of blues, taupe and dark green. Gilt ornamentation edging all the sections and bellflowers decorating the yellow ground. Ornate cross-shaded frieze in the centres finished with a shark-tooth ring. The outside of the cup is decorated with a gilt flowering vine with small enamelled flowers. Pattern number 3075 painted in red to the saucer. Attributed to New Hall, c.1830.

The cup measures 9.3cm (3 5/8") rim to rim and 5.2cm (2") high to the rim. The saucer measures 15cm (5 7/8") wide and 3.2cm (1 1/4") high. 

In excellent condition with no damage or repair and minimal handling wear, just very fractional stacking wear in the saucer centre.
