Code: FA1544
A very fine Meissen beaker style cup with ornate double delicately scrolled handle with upper spur. Exquisitely painted with woodcut "Holzschnittblumen" flowers. Brown enamel rim and puce detail to the handle. Crossed swords mark, c.1740-1745.
It measures 7.2cm (2 7/8") high and 7cm (2 3/4") rim to rim.
In excellent condition, four flea bites to the underside of the foot rim but no other issues of damage, repair or restoration. A tiny enamel loss to a petal on one of the small forget-me-not flowers and in excellent order otherwise. Very minor handling wear to the rim and none discernible to the handle.
