Beautiful French hard paste porcelain bottle cooler very much in the Sevres style and with interlinked Ls to the base. A bleu celeste ground painted to leave small white discs all over which are then hand painted with small red dots to form flowers within each and gilded dots painted in a ring around each disc. Fluted reserves with etched gilded borders each side depicting exotic asiatic style birds in glorious rich colours against a a wooded background. The fineness of the painting is exquisite. Ornate moulded side handles with gilded detail, and gilded bands encircle the stepped rim and foot. A really superb quality piece.
It measures 12cm high, 16cm wide across the handles and 13cm rim to rim.
Condition is very good but with a small area of professional restoration to the foot. Surface condition is excellent.
