A fabulous quality large Victorian 3 sconce silver plated candelabrum with a Corinthian column and decorative stepped square base. Stunning organic shape to the upper body with moulded leaves and foliage twisting around the branches, wrythen baluster form central stem and matching Corinthian form to the sconces. Dragooning edging and other finely detailed decoration, along with its impressive size makes this a real show stopper.
The drip catchers are detachable and the body separates in the middle. The lower section has a drip catcher also and so it can be used as a single candlestick as well
It is marked to the base for Hawksworth, Eyre & Co. c.1870. It measures 21"/53cm high and 15"/38cm wide.
Condition is very good; there is a little plate wear to the sharp edges of the stepped base and sharp ridges on the column but nothing of note. No damage or dents.
