Lovely pair of George II/Adams style candlesticks with an oval shape from the foot rising through the stem to the corresponding sconces. Concave fluted sections to the foot, stem and sconce separated by knops and finished with reeded detailing. The wax catchers are removable and also trimmed with reeding.
Hallmarked to the base at the side and underneath and also to the wax catchers for the silversmith and high quality retailer Carrington & Company London 1936.
The measure 8 1/2" high and 4 1/2" by 3 1/2" wide. They weigh 712 grams but with some weighting to the bases.
Condition is excellent with no damage and very light surface wear for age and use.
