Classic stylish silver candlesticks of oval shape in the Adam style with fluted sections separated by plain stepped knops. They have detachable sconces with matching marks.
Hallmarked, for Sheffield 1923, maker Harrison Brothers & Howson (George Howson).
They measure 27.3cm (10 3/4") high and the bases are 14.3cm (5 5/8") by 11cm (4 1/4") wide. They are weighted and weigh in total 1256g.
Condition is very good: both have had some neat repair work to the lower part of the stem and they stand well. A couple of tiny dints to the sides of the bases and overall light surface wear with clear marks.
