Lovely stylish Georgian silver chamberstick with original snuffer. Shaped reeded border with ornate cast decoration replicated on the rim of the sconce. Acanthus leaf detail on the handle and up the sides of the candle holder which has further reeded stepped detail and bulbous fluting. Set on 3 flared feet with acanthus leaf and scallop shell decoration.

Hallmarked for Sheffield 1812, maker S.C. Younge & Co.


It measures 6 1/4" wide and 6 3/4" including the handle. It is 4" high and the snuffer extends slightly above this. It weighs 312g/10ozt.

Condition is very good; no damage or repairs to the body and very light surface wear. There is a fine spit near the end of the snuffer and the marks are a bit rubbed. The sconce has very slight distortion to the rim and flange and some rubbing to the high points of the decoration.
