Very pretty porcelain plate from the Bow manufactory with a large central image of 2 fancy birds painted in polychrome enamels set in an exotic landscape. Floral sprays and sprigs decorate the edge of the plate and the shapes rim has dentil gilding.
Red anchor and dagger mark on the reverse, c.1768-1784.
It measures 19.7cm (7 3/4") wide and 2cm (7/8") high.
Condition is very good; there are 5 small chips at the rim and a small chip out of the surface of the back but this last one might be from manufacture. Surface wear is light and good for age including a little wear to the gilding on the rim.
