Gorgeous large Edwardian silver bread or fruit basket with ornate embossing of abaresques, scrolls, flowers and foliage around the shaped rim and base of the bowl and the main walls pierced with flowers inside circles made of curved triangles and little trefoils. Some engraving to the detail around the embossing finishes it off beautifully.
Hallmarked for Chester 1902 maker Jay, Richard Attenborough & Co.
It measures 10 3/4" long, 7 5/8" wide and 3 1/8" tall. It weighs 365g/11.8ozt.
Condition is excellent, no damage and just light surface wear from age and use.
