An amusing Meissen porcelain figural group of three putti getting up to mischief as one is being held over a rock covered with ears of wheat and cornflowers as the others are attempting to smack his bottom as he reaches back to try to shield himself. Set on a simple rocky base with more finely modelled sheaves of wheat scattered about and one of the standing putti holding a bundle under his arm. Possibly representing Summer in a series of the Seasons. Crossed swords mark and incised marks, c.1860-1880.
It measures 14.2cm (5 5/8") high and 12.2cm (5 3/8") by 7cm (2 3/4") wide.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration bar some very minor chips to the tips of some of the ears of wheat.
