A fine pair of mid-Victorian old English pattern silver asparagus tongs with pretty pierced decoration to the blades with threaded detail to the edges. Hallmarked for London 1856, makers H J Lias & Son (Henry John Lias & Henry John Lias).
They measure 26cm (10 1/4") long and 3.2cm (1 1/4") wide across the blades. They weigh 207g / 6.6ozt.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and only minor handling wear; ready for use.
