A fine and rare Caughley porcelain egg drainer with a moulded sprig shape handle and painted with the "locre sprigs" pattern. Unmarked, c.1788-1790.
Provenance: The Bayard Collection.
It measures 8cm (3 1/8") wide and 3cm (1 3/16") high to the handle.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration with minimal handling wear. There is a small underglaze chip inside the foot rim from manufacture.
