Fabulous quirky asymmetric rococo form vase from the Derby manufactory, c.1756-58. Very fine and crispy modelled surface texture as acanthus leaves with scrolls and scalloped borders to frame each side painted with butterflies, ladybirds and other insects on one side and garden flowers including a morning glory trumpet on the other. The main body is white and highlighted with puce and turquoise with some gilding. Decorative holes have also been pierced through the skirt around the rim into the inside of the body. 

It measures 20.5cm (8") high and 16.5cm (6 1/2") by 10cm (4") wide. 

Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and just some light surface wear.
